Team Reflection

The beginning of the week saw a big push for the PLC to be implemented into the video simulation posted in last week's blog. Unfortunately, the team were faced with further complexities and this was simply not achievable, leading to a slight drop in moral. Low spirits where short-lived however after receiving excellent feedback and comments during a Wednesday advisory meeting. It was found that progress made by the team had surpassed expectations based on the current project timeline. This discovery breathed a new sense of optimism into the team, sparking a noticeable increase in communication and efficiency. The implementation of PLC was now the biggest challenge faced by the team and so mid-week, it was decided that a shift in team dynamic was neccesary. By bringing a fresh set of eyes to the PLC programming side of the project, an increase in progress was induced. Mixing the knowledge of the team PLC Programmers with the Simulation Experts' experience, new tools and methods surrounding the construction of an internal PLC were utilised. The coupling of excellent work ethic with an adjustment in team dynamic has proved a winning combintaion, helping increase the project completion percentage to 39% by the end of the week. As such, the project remains firmly on schedule and the emphasis for the coming weeks will once again be on the implementation of PLC programming into the simulation.

All in all, a great week of reflection and positive feedback. Confirmation of a trip to Volvo City also came as welcome news to the group!
