Now in week 14 and the team continue to work tirelessly to meet deadlines and complete as much work as possible. Following an informative meeting with Volvo employee and 9 years user of the Process Simulate software, Andreas Johnsson, this week saw the first big breakthrough using the Volvo virtual work cell. This meeting provided the team with a much needed moral boost, spurring them on and helping them to get ever closer to the end of the project. The team now have a greater understanding of Smart Components and should be able to simulate and control such components well within the time frame of the project.

As well as this, the final report is now well underway, with a first draft being completed in accordance with a strictly set team deadline. This draft awaits comment from team advisor before a second draft can be attempted.

On a lesser note, the Tecnomatix software package has stopped working on the group laptop and minor changes are still being made to the methodology document. Despite this, the team have made excellent progress and are now at the 89% completion stage of the project with several weeks left of work.
